lead mining since at least 1780 with mining ceasing in 1899.It was a significant source of lead in the fits half of the 19th century,working a well defined mineralised zone along a N-S fault line in the Silurian country rock.The remains of a windmill,engine houses and chimneys are important reminders of our mining history and industrial heritage.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong><img
